SUMMARY of FIXMYCOURSE and COURSE MAINTENANCE

FIXMYCOURSE@tru.ca

fixmycourse@tru.ca is dedicated to small fixes that you notice as you deliver the course. These are things that can usually be fixed in a few minutes, or within a couple of days. We publish thousands of course pages per year, so sometimes things get missed. Also, technical glitches do occur from time to time, and we are happy to make things right.

This includes things such as the following:

  • significant typos
  • references mistakenly assigned to the wrong unit
  • urls that need to be replaced for the course in progress
  • assessment questions that need to be clarified in the course in progress
  • missing formatting such as a unit title page
  • incorrect page number references
  • missing course components that should be visible

ELEARNINGFACILITATOR@tru.ca

elearningfacilitator@tru.ca Questions about facilitating your course should be directed to the ELearning Facilitator. These are questions beyond the scope of course content maintenance and are more relevant to the systems that you use to deliver the course.

The E-Learning Facilitator provides training, technical support and on-line best practices to Program Delivery staff and OLFMs for a range of learning technologies and the use of TRU-OL’s learning management system(s). Training is needs-based, and focuses on learning technologies and LMS tools such as Blackboard and Moodle.  The E-Learning Facilitator is instrumental in identifying, recommending and training on best practices to maximize the students’ experience in an on-line environment.
